Coromandel Coastal Walkway Hiking Shuttle departs Colville 9am

The Coromandel Coastal Walkway is located in a remote corner of New Zealand, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. With a variety of scenery from native bush, craggy cliffs, seaviews and coastal farmland, there’s something to behold around every corner.

The Walkway travels a well worn bridle path that can be enjoyed by young and old alike with medium levels of fitness. This is a self-guided hike and takes approximately 3-4 hours.

Our full day experience also includes a shuttle to the drop-off point at Stony Bay.  We meet you at the end of the hike with complimentary afternoon tea enjoyed under the towering pohutukawa in Fletcher Bay. We also provide free water top-ups and a friendly, knowledgeable and experienced driver!

Due to the remote location, it takes approx 1.5 hours from Colville to reach the start point of the Walkway. Our roads are narrow, gravelly and winding so extra care and attention is needed for a safe journey. Some rental car companies also forbid their vehicles to be driven on these roads.

Colville Departure ONEWAY Option i.e. dropoff Stony Bay 10.30am, pickup Fletcher Bay 3.30pm Adults 2x minimum $225.00pp (i.e. for the trip to proceed, minimum charge required for two persons is $450). Sliding Charge for all when passenger numbers reach 5x i.e. 5x pax to 7x pax then $200.00 pp. If 8x pax to 11x then $175 pp. Groups do not need to be known to each other for sliding charge to apply.

At the time of booking please select the $225 per adult ONEWAY option and appropriate refunds or deductions will be given on the day if others also book the ONEWAY experience.  You are welcome to pay in full or a $50 deposit to secure your seat.

The Walkway may at times be closed for maintenance and we reserve the right to alter the route on these occasions.

Departs from 76 Wharf Road, Colville at 9.00 a.m. (checkin 10 mins prior) returns approx 5.00 p.m.  Safe off street parking is available. 

Sturdy walking shoes, sunhat, sunscreen, warm layer, rain jacket, swimming togs, towel, camera, insect repellent plus lunch to enjoy on the hike as well as any snacks and water. We have complimentary water top-ups available in the van.
